LOOKING TO EXPLORE
There are countless ways to explore the island of St. Barths,
one of our favorites is trekking along the coastline, overlooking the abundant Caribbean Sea, volcanic rocks and soil, and the soft powdery sands below.
Here are our favorites (check with the concierge for directions!):
Le Morne (On Property Walk)
Le Morne offers breathtaking views of the resort grounds and Marigot Bay.
Accessible by a short walk beginning from the beach,
connect with the island’s natural beauty and see things from an elevated perspective.
Colombier Beach
The beach of Colombier is a protected, spectacular slice of heaven.
The beach is only accessible by foot via two different paths, one starting from Colombier, the other from Flamands, from where the hike is pleasant and accessible.
Either path is a great way to discover the natural beauty of the island and
one of the most beautiful beaches of St. Barthélemy.
Natural Pools in Petit Cul de Sac
Set out on a 30-minute walk along a high path with a magnificent view overlooking the ocean and neighboring islands. You’ll pass by the beach in Grand Fond to reach the natural pools, also known as Washing Machine, a legendary landmark in St. Barth.
Once you have arrived, relax and discover this fabulous spot where you can swim in a perfect paradise protected from the waves by large rock formations.

RETAIL THERAPY

Need a new bikini or coverup? Looking for a travel outfit home?
Head to La Boutique, located on property at Le Guanahani’s Beach House.
Hop in a mini cooper for 10 minutes to St. Jean for jewelry and clothing from the island’s top artisans. Browse the local shops along St. Barth’s premier beach.
For a true shopping experience, walk around Gustavia, the island’s historic downtown. You’ll find a variety of options from high-end fashion houses to a curated selection of local options.
Here are a few of Tess’s favorites:
Carla St. Barths
Montaigne Market
SunBarth
Clic
Lolita Jaca
Poupette
Pati de St. Barths
Beware of the Lunch Hour
In Gustavia, most shopkeepers open around 9am or 10am
then close for a leisurely dejeuner (lunch) that may last until 2pm or 3pm
(most shops then stay open until 6-7pm)
EAT HERE AND THERE

Shellona
Come for lunch and stay to lounge on popular Shell Beach.
“Sharing is Caring” at this greek day spot - Don’t skip on the seafood, salads, or french fries, Tess’s favorite.
Great option for Thursday or Friday lunch!
Nao Beach
The spot for sushi on the island, with stunning St. Jean views.
Come at noon for a spectacular breezy lunch, or 3pm for an iconic St. Jean party!
Champagne and costumes galore :) One of Jacques's favorites.
Nikki Beach
An iconic destination that combines glamour, relaxation, and entertainment. Great for a late lunch.
L'isola
The very best in Italian cuisine, right in the heart of Gustavia.
Romantic and soft-lit atmosphere with excellent, attentive service
make you feel right at home upon arrival. A great choice for Thursday evening dinner.
Eden To Go
Right across from the airport, don’t forget to grab food to go before your flight!
We recommend calling ahead to avoid long wait times.
Le Select
The oldest bar on the island, this snack bar calls itself “Cheeseburger in Paradise,”
after the famous Jimmy Buffett song!
Eddy's Ghetto
This restaurant is for the locals - protected by a large verdant garden right in the middle of Gustavia. This popular restaurant is known for the authenticity of its delicious Creole cuisine.
Sella
Israeli and Mediterranean inspired dishes - Beautiful views for sunset and a short drive from Gustavia.
DRINKS AND LATE NIGHT FUN

Sand Bar - Eden Roc Hotel
Excellent food and drink, offering a breathtaking panorama of the Caribbean Sea.

Bar de l'Oubli
Great open terrace to socialize, eat a no-frill meal, and people watch in town.
If you have a game to catch, this is the best place to do it!
(We’ve watched an SEC football game or two here)
La Petit Plage
The floor is sand and the best reservations for dinner don’t start until 10pm - Need I say more?
This is Tess’s FAVORITE party spot on the island, hands down!

Bagatelle
Across from La Petit Plage, this is another late dinner turned party spot. Be prepared to dance on tables!
